Are you ready? Here is a LOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGG post about our trip out here.
We are doing well. That's really the most important thing, right?
Some things that make me miss Idaho:
- Having my parents just a quick drive away
- My cute nephew (of course I miss my sisters too)
- Not having to check the time before I run any errands (If I time things wrong, it takes me 15 minutes to go two blocks to Fred Meyer. What fun!)
- The cheaper price of groceries
Other than those few things, we are really enjoying ourselves. Well, I am anyway. Lyle started his job with JCP on Tuesday. He is enjoying it, but the commute might kill him. We live only about 15 miles away from his job, but it takes him at least 45 minutes during rush hour to get there. He leaves extra early for his job, and hangs out down there to kill time before coming home so he doesn't have to deal with the terrible grid lock that happens. He's not super impressed with that part of living here.
Here is how the trip went:
We left Idaho on August 2nd in a caravan of 5 vehicles. Lyle's parents were bringing his brother out to Pullman, Wa for grad school, so they decided we should all travel together. I am grateful for the extra help, but it made for miserable driving. First day we went drove to Spokane and stayed with Aunt Kim. The next day we drove to Pullman, left Bryan's car in Spokane, unloaded his stuff at his apartment and dropped off a moving van. Took 3 vehicles down to Lyle's Grandpa's and stayed there for a few days. Then came up to Bothell and unloaded our stuff. Lyle's parents and Bryan stayed with Aunt Gayla just about 20 minutes from us and the next day we visited Seattle. Lyle's parents then drove all the way back to South Dakota, dropping Bryan off and visiting more family on the way. Isn't that just crazy enough to make your head spin? Whew!
(Also, a huge thank you to the wonderful family that let us stay with them and eat their food! We love you all!)

These pictures were taken with my phone, so please excuse the little bit of graininess.

The caravan....All of those cars in the driveway, plus Bryan's on the curb, plus the one I took the picture from.

Finally close to being out of that other house. It kills me that we are paying nearly as much to rent this small 1 room apartment as it cost us to rent this entire house/month.
We stopped in the random little town of Wallace, ID to gas up. It was the craziest little town I have ever seen. The interstate is above it and if you blink you miss it.
Lyle thinks I'm crazy because I get excited about seeing libraries.
Their little library. I really wanted to go look at it, but there was not time.
This sign made me laugh so hard.
It was a fun little town.
Bryan napping at Addy and Marks house (where we stayed while visiting Grandpa Clark)
This little gem was on the wall of Mark and Addy's house. I was laughing so hard at all of the pictures! There were some good ones. Can you tell which one Lyle is?
And Finally..... The pictures of our apartment (before most of our stuff)
Living room and dining area.
Living room from dinging room.
We found a Thai restaurant in our town that is really good and actually serves....
Sticky Rice!
It is almost as good as my mom's food.
More pictures will be coming after we have everything set up. Unless, of course, you have seen enough. :)
what a fun adventure!!! Love all the pics you post.
