When I was in my early teens, I loved this show.

I loved it so much, that I would get up early, or try to stay up late whenever reruns were on. I also bought my dad one of their CD's for his birthday so I could listen to it (I was so clever back then).
I may or may not have had a small crush on this fellow:

So, when I found out that Davy Jones passed away, I was a little sad. I know, I know..... he was a heartthrob of the 60's - 70's and was way older than me. But that doesn't seem to matter when their age is preserved on film and you are young teenage girl.
Good bye, friend. I never really knew you, but your music and funny show enriched my past and added a little something to who I am today.
If you have no idea who The Monkees are, or who Davy Jones is, I would suggest this video to introduce you to their music. Yes, this song existed before Shrek.
